In December it is possible to sow what can be harvested in the following months, paying particular attention to frosts. In case their arrival is foreseen, it is advisable to choose to sow in seedbeds, sheltered flower beds, boxes or tunnels. Protected sowing in colder areas is especially recommended for radishes, aubergines and chicory, lettuce and radicchio for cutting, while it is possible to sow vegetables such as peas, spinach and broad beans directly in the ground.

Full moon: with the full moon they collect the officinal and aromatic herbs that you will want to dry, with particular reference to sage and rosemary, thyme and oregano, as well as bay leaf. Radishes can be sown with both a waxing and a full moon, a period in which it is also recommended to sow peas in the open air.
