What color are these sneakers? The new catchphrase that goes crazy on the web

Remember #TheDress, which is the striped dress posted on Facebook that some thought was white and gold and others black and blue? Well, make yourself comfortable, because at the center of the battle now is a pair of sneakers.

It is again catchphrase: 'What color is this pair of sneakers?', We had not yet had time to agree on the color of the striped dress, which in social networks a new dilemma erupts. And this time too the web is divided.

Remember #TheDress, or the striped dress posted on Facebook that some thought was white and gold and others black and blue? Well, make yourself comfortable, because at the center of the battle now is a pair of sneakers.

“What color is this pair of sneakers?” Nicole Coulthard asked on Facebook posting the photo of the shoes. "Do you see them pink and white or teal and gray?".

According to the Mail Online, the girl asked about it on the Facebook group “Girlsmouth”, which has 94 users. The post reads like this:

“Ok girls, a friend of mine asked me what color these shoes are. I would have said pink and white, but she insisted they were blue and gray. Girls, how do you see them? Please tell me they are pink and white! ”.

The confusion started when the mother complimented her daughter's new blue shoes who actually bought them because they were pink. Now under the post, there are thousands of comments and endless debate.

But why don't we all see the same color? As it was for the dress, the most probable hypothesis is that linked to the different perception of things. In practice, our brain is in complete darkness, colors like light pulses are filtered through the eyes.

The result of this is that our perception comes from what the brain interprets. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that you don't see the same colors. But not only that, colors can be influenced by light, look at this tweet for example, in the first image the shoe appears in one way, in the second in the other. And the backgrounds are different.

THE REAL SHOE IS PINK & WHITE OKAY⁉️
The second pic was with flash & darkened, so it looks teal & gray. (depends on what lighting ur in) pic.twitter.com/FlbO3OEEuC

If we want to go into even more detail, we can say that it is all linked to our perception of color linked to our retina which contains cells that are photoreceptors that process light impulses and are distinguished in cones, deputies to read colors, and in rods, which decode whites, blacks and shades of gray.

The differences in color perception depend on how the brain interprets the amount of light entering our retina. In short, you can see them as you like, but the truth is that these shoes are pink and white.
