In many houses next to the washing machine or in the immediate vicinity there are often many different models of dryers which, while on the one hand they allow to eliminate the humidity and water of the fresh laundry and save precious time, they cannot always be used and especially for everything.
There are indeed a number of accessories and clothing that should never be put in the dryer so that they do not get ruined. It all depends on what material they are made of.
The clothes that should be air dried, according to the companies that produce dryers and instruction booklets, are those made of:
- leather, suede and eco-leather
- furs and eco furs
- latex rubber
- waterproof fabrics, also pay attention to how they are washed in order not to lose this feature
- set
- satin
- linen
- wool, it is preferable to evaluate garment by garment as not all woolen garments can be tumble dried
- nylon
- metallic decorations
Also pay attention to bags and backpacks, swimwear and sneakers as the rubber of the sole may deteriorate due to the heat of the dryer.
Before you make a hasty decision that could cost you your beloved sweater or new bikini, it is better read the labels carefully of each garment and accessory and set the appropriate programs for each, while remembering - where possible - that the sun is the best possible option.
