A 5,8 magnitude earthquake caused the collapse of Playa Ventana, the beautiful rock formation located along the southern coast of Puerto Rico, in the city of Guayanilla, and known for its characteristic natural arch shape.

It offered a picturesque view of the ocean, but unfortunately the earthquake on Monday broke the magic. Playa Ventana was one of the most popular attractions for tourists from all over the world, also known as Window Point. One of the best beaches, loved by surfers for its gentle waves, but also by families and kayak fans. The name derives from the window dug with erosion in one of the rocky walls. At low tide it was possible to cross the mountain through one of the windows.

“Playa Ventana has collapsed. Today our icon rests in everyone's memory ", writes on social media Glidden López, press officer of the Guayanilla council
