He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

He closed his eyes in the arms of Aldo, his inseparable friend and human colleague. Farewell to Gino, the first police dog with whom the canine team of the Bari Police was established. He was 12 years old and a terrible disease.

A black Labrador puppy who, when not on duty, did not disdain cuddles and croquettes. After years of service alongside his conductor Aldo Dammacco, he had retired to enjoy a well-deserved rest.

It all started in 2009, when Gino was just over a year old and started training to become the first police dog of the Bari canine unit.

An inseparable friend with whom Aldo had carried out many operations: over the years Gino had found weapons, found thieves and even saved a turtle on the Apulian coast, so much so that he was praised by the WWF. But not only that, the Labrador participated in meetings in schools, teaching children about the law and respect for the rules.

Two years ago he had become a nice pensioner and Aldo had decided to adopt him. Unfortunately, the discovery of an aggressive lymphoma has upset the plans for a well-deserved rest.

To remember him on social networks is Agent Lisa, the Facebook page of the State Police:

“You are not the first and you will not be the last who takes with him a piece of his master's heart when he leaves. Gino, you had a "human" name and perhaps this is also why you were a companion and friend to Aldo. How many have you been through and how many have you done together, just like with friends. The "bad" often has not spared anyone, not even you. And I'm sure that, as always, you will also have faced this great leap in the dark with that fixed, fearless gaze. And as always Aldo was there with you. Hello colleague, thanks for everything and good bridge ”.

Happy rainbow bridge to this gorgeous four-legged friend.
