Like every year, after school, Gabriele has a fixed appointment: he does not attend summer camps with his classmates but devotes himself to the care of animals, volunteering in the kennel.

This 9-year-old boy lives in Sardinia and particularly loves dogs so much that at the end of the school year, instead of having fun with his friends in the summer camps where they play and swim in the sea or in the pool, he chooses to dedicate all his free time to the dogs housed in the kennel of Quartu Sant'Elena “Tana di Bau” and in Settimo San Pietro refuge, "Bau Club".

However, love for these animals was not born by chance. Her mother Elena Pisu, in fact, is the manager of both structures and for some time she has been actively engaged against straying, abandonment and pro sterilization. With her example of her, evidently, she managed to convey the passion and dedication towards these animals to Gabriele too.

In reality, the little one goes to the kennel all year round but, of course, after school he has all the time available to take care of his 4-legged friends in the best possible way. And not only does he attend food collection banquets and charity events to raise money for the facilities, he also takes care of sick dogs when mom brings them home.

A mom who, of course, is very proud of her son:

“It fills my heart with joy to share my passion and my commitments with Gabriele, says Elena Pisu. For me it is a great help. He loves animals with all of himself, he takes care of them in an incredible way and seeing him grow with this sensitivity is beautiful ".

The story of this child reminds us how important the example we give to our children every day is to make them grow up respectful of the environment and animals.
