Spectacular images arrived from Trieste, where hundreds of fireflies gather every evening inside the tunnel of San Giuseppe
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himFireflies are fewer and fewer, threatened by pesticides and light pollution, but there is a place in Trieste where they create a real magic show with their dances. It is the bridge of San Giuseppe, an underpass where hundreds of insects gather every evening, a delight for the hearts and eyes of the inhabitants.
It is now a regular appointment for the people of Trieste. Every evening after 22 pm in the San Giuseppe underpass, along the cycle path, many flock to admire the fireflies, many, many.
There the beetles transform the area into a real enchanted forest. As various users on Facebook explain, from 22pm to 24am the fireflies dance in the dark inside the tunnel, then fade away.
"I went on Sunday evening on the cycle path where there is the underpass of the road to bagnoli, it was full" says a user.
There are many photos published on social media, so beautiful that they don't even seem real:
It's magic again .. the fireflies are back on the cycle path!
