Eco-sustainable even in beauty in a few steps

To think that a girl because she is green or maybe green & vegan must also be ugly and not taken care of is really a terrible mistake! Eco-sustainability also exists in daily beauty gestures but with extra attention to the planet (and therefore to the sustainability of the products used) and to us (and therefore to the bio-compatibility of the products used!)

Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

Let's face it every time we find ourselves talking about beauty we are attentive to the environment (and health) we are branded as boring or too careful but those of us, even if green and eco-addicted, do not like to take care of themselves with scents, creams, masks and delicious exotic packs? To think that a girl because she is “green” or maybe “green & vegan” must also be ugly and not taken care of is really a terrible mistake! Eco-sustainability also exists in daily beauty gestures but with an extra attention for the planet (and therefore for the sustainability of the products used) and for us (and therefore for the bio-compatibility of the products used!)

First of all we start fromstart understanding what we use and what we keep in our beauty case: a precious ally is the biodizionario which allows us to analyze each ingredient contained in our favorite creams, once this is done from there the step is short especially towards theself... but let's go step by step ...

Let's start with the cleansing products: if I say cleanse what comes to mind is "soap" and then the first thing we have to do is ... begin to saponify! Saponifying simply means making your own soap at home just like I did and you just need a little attention and a few small tricks to have a wonderful mint, coconut, cocoa soap or an alternative if you don't feel like saponifying is go to the wonderful ghassoul, Moroccan soap clay used for millennia in the Maghrebi hammams to have a thousand and one nights skin: just put a couple of spoons in your hand and use it as a washing powder on the whole wet body then rinse to have a silky and velvety skin, truly unique, 100% vegetable, 100% biodegradable and absolutely bio-eco-friendly and then really cheap!

For the laziest ones, on the other hand, a large retailer brand has created one eco line with green and yellow stickers very very good and also very very cheap!

The next step after cleansing can only be pamper the body!

Never thought that to have gods wonderful and vicious body oils to use maybe after a shower with the skin still wet or for perfumed massages just go to the supermarket? no? well, don't you know you're getting lost!

The first simple simple recipe is a relaxing and soothing chamomile oil.

You will need cold-pressed sunflower oil and dried chamomile flower heads then you will have to put everything in a jar previously sterilized with alcohol and absolutely recycled after you finish the jam contained in it, place it in the dark turning it every day and after a couple voilà for months, your fragrant and relaxing oil is ready! But THERE ARE other recipes all to be discovered energizing, refreshing, anti-cellulite ...

But still move on to one deep cleansing of the face (being careful to avoid the eyes and eye area due to the presence of the essential oil!) using an abundant amount of hot water in which you have dissolved a couple of drops of lavender essential oil (which is also relaxing!) and a couple of handfuls of simple baking soda and your pores will thank you… and again what we understand is that to make yourself beautiful you don't need tens and tens of euros but a bit of basic rules and common sense!

If you then want to move on to a facial scrub you can use a small sponge of loofah (a courgette that you can also grow on the balcony, obtaining wonderful and 100% vegetable sponges all year round, it is easy, economical and above all ecological!)n brown sugar and yogurt (in my case soy!) and then rinse with fresh water!

After the excoriation you can self-produce a wonderful softening mask, nourishing and smoothing face with a banana, vegetable yogurt, lemon and rice starch, just mix everything and keep it in place for about twenty minutes then rinse ... but even here the recipes are so many dare and discover! Lot of forum present on the net can help you!

Finally finish with a few drops of grape seed oil (always super!) To have a relaxed and radiant skin!

Another eco-suggestion is dared with natural colors that are perfect both to cover gray hair and to awaken precious shades: use henna, indigo or walnut husk to dose your perfect hair color but also as a strengthening and purifying skin for those with oily or flaking hair and you will have full-bodied and natural reds, blacks and browns! The recipes are very easy but require a little more laying time compared to classic hair colors… but you can't have it all, right? And then what better excuse to carve out an entire afternoon dedicated to pampering us !? And finally how balm forget silicones and petrolatum but abandon yourself to the spectacular effect of water and apple cider vinegar… Other than sectors… your hair will be even better!

Finally, one could not fail to conclude with make-up and perfumes: who among us hasn't heard of the make- up mineral? latest trend in terms of beauty in accordance with respect for the person and the planet.

Did you know you can too make your own favorite mineral tricks buying directly mineral powders and micas to create precious and exclusive shades? on the web there are shops that allow you to buy even in mini quantities as proof!

Finally how not to spend 2 words on the perfume, the only dress for Marilyn and our precious ally: dare with perfume waters (not to spray on clothes otherwise they can stain!) made with distilled water and a few drops of a mix of your essential oils such as geranium, mint, lavender, ylang ylang, vanilla previously dissolved in a spoonful of food alcohol (the one at 95 °) ... and voile the eco-beauty is ready!

Being eco-sustainable means looking at every aspect of the coin and usually this means less comfort but certainly more fun, more savings, more bio-compatibility and more sustainability. 100% plant products, 100% biodegradable and self-produced it means being aware that every gesture provokes a reaction all the more when it comes to gestures that are perhaps useful but not strictly necessary.

Eco-sustainability is a good guiding thread in our actions that allows us to critically analyze our gestures, making us really understand the importance of our every choice, even the most stupid.

If you still have doubts, an advice is do not miss “The story of cosmetics”!

Green girls: very green very beauty!
