In the city of Bedford, Texas, lives the tallest male dog in the world and his name is Zeus. We are of course talking about a Great Dane, a breed also known as the "Great Dane" due to its decidedly giant stature.
Recently awarded by the Guinness World Records Zeus can now boast the famous recognition as well as his height. The great dane, which is 2 and a half years old, measures 1.046 m.
Brittany Davis, its owner, told the Guinness World Records judges why she chose this breed as a pet. She brittany remembers her always wanting a huge dog and she hoped someday she might have a Great Dane, although her size made her quite upset.
That day he showed up earlier than expected as his brother had colleagues with a litter of Great Danes and so Zeus arrived. From the first moment the choice fell on him, being the largest puppy of all. Now that the animal has finished its growth it can be said that Brittany has seen us just fine.
We didn't think Zeus had any chance of getting into Guinness World Records, but when we took his measurements we realized he probably had one. It was all so unexpected. We never believed we could be the owner of the tallest male dog in the world,
said Brittany Davis.
In his home and in his huge garden Zeus is happier than ever. However, it is not the only dog and the only pet of its family as the Great Dane shares the sofa and the home with 3 Australian Shepherds and a cat.
Zeus is the star of his neighborhood, he is known by everyone and he can't wait to receive extra caresses and attention from the neighborhood.
