Whoever saved her, at first thought she was just scared and upset. Instead, a few days later, a much more heartbreaking hypothesis emerged, after the body of a man was found at that point, killed by the incredible force of nature that destroyed his house. Was it its owner? The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office had meanwhile posted a photo of him on his Twitter account: "He's scared, but this puppy survived", the tweet explained, in the hope that someone would recognize her.
Volunteers took little Susie to a shelter and started preparing for adoption. But a woman replied on the sheriff's facebook page: he recognized in the rescued dog his brother's four-legged dog was talking about in all the media. And he is alive! The only reason he's unwell is that he's desperate for Susie, ”he wrote.
From here to the happy ending it was a short step: the survivor was returned to her family. And there are many lucky pets affected by the tornado, who have been able to hug their loved ones thanks to the internet, volunteers and a lot of luck.
