This specimen of Caretta caretta was destined for certain death. 3 months ago she was found in the north of Sardinia, in the Gulf of Asinara, entangled in a net and with large quantities of plastic inside. It was also full of leeches and their eggs. He was in serious condition.
Yesterday, thanks to the extraordinary work of the Marine Animal Recovery Center of the National Park and Marine Protected Area, she finally returned to live free.
