He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

An air rifle shot had put his life at risk. A female swan suffered this criminal attack while she was hatching her eggs in Thatcham, a town of just over 20 inhabitants in the United Kingdom. But now the swan is fine and has finally managed to reunite with his mate.

About two weeks ago, in Thatcham, an elegant swan was surprised by a blow to the head while hatching its eggs. In fact, in this period of the year these animals lay their eggs, which are then brooded for a period ranging from 32 to 45 days. While the female looks after the eggs, the cob is responsible for keeping an eye out for intruders and threats.

But there are predators from which swans are unfortunately still unable to defend themselves: humans. Among these is the young mother swan, found seriously injured by the Swan Support association that deals with rehabilitating these beautiful animals.

They shot a swan in the head while it was hatching its eggs. It is the fifth episode in 10 days

In recent times, the association has noticed an increase in attacks on swans in several areas of West Berkshire. In all, 5 were injured in this way.

The last was the young mother. Her eggs are brought to the Swan Support Center. The vets had to remove an 8mm ball. Fortunately, the poor animal survived the attack and is now well and fully recovered.

The swan was set free in these days. The scene we are about to show you is truly moving and shows the moment when the animal found its mate.

“The swan who was shot in the head while sitting on his nest in Thatcham is reunited with his mate. He underwent surgery to remove the blow from the base of his skull. She has recovered very well. The video shows the first moments of their meeting, ”explains Swan Support.
