There are many displaced people, but also the animals they are not exempt from this tragic natural disaster. The ocean has retreated to the Florida coasts and manatees, also known as sea cows, have been stranded in mud and sand.
The manatee, despite its massive body, is a peaceful mammal that swims gracefully in rivers and coastal waters and sometimes gets close it can happen that it gets too close to the shore. To realize that some specimens had remained muddy and sanded were some residents of the area.

Despite the danger, the inhabitants immediately mobilized to rescue the two manatees suffering and immobilized. As can be seen from these images, the mammals were rolled on tarps and put back into the sea, where it was sure that they could return to swim.
Un beautiful brave gesture and a great effort given the weight of the two manatees and the precarious conditions, but it was worth it!
