A friendship with a capital A, which does not look at the differences related to the physical aspect, which does not care about the species to which it belongs. A beautiful story that sees as protagonists the raccoon Pumpkin and dogs who live together with Rosie Kemp and her family.
Last year, in Nassau (Bahamas), the woman found a raccoon cub that had fallen from a tree, frightened and alone.
After days of searching for her mother in vain, Rose welcomed the little one into her home. Daughter Laura treated his wounds and renamed him Pumpkin.
But it was with the two house dogs that Pumpkin formed a truly unique bond of friendship.
Strange friendships between very different animals are nothing new. We have already discovered the particular relationship between a bear and a wolf in Finland. Or even that between the goose Geraldina and the dog Rex. But dogs and raccoons are a new combination.
Laura was the one to tell the story of the particular bond.
“He immediately bonded with us and our two dogs. She follows them wherever they go " he said.
Il raccoon seems to have figured out in no time how to deal with them. He loves to play together but he also understands what their spaces are and when they get tired of running around with her.
And in those cases he lets himself go to exploratory activities ...
… And to productive pastimes such as cooking

But the best way to spend time is with her two new furry friends.
It doesn't matter if it's from another race, it doesn't matter if it's from another language. The language of feelings (and cuddles!) Is universal.
