Taiji Bay, never-ending horror: 55 dolphins slaughtered, including a cub torn from its mother

A pod of 55 dolphins was slaughtered in Taiji Bay in Japan, including a pup who had tried to escape

In the massacre that continues to take place in Taiji Bay, he too ended up in Japan: a striped dolphin pup who, after being separated from his mother, had tried in vain to escape. Unfortunately, the Japanese hunters had no mercy and the baby was also killed along with a pod of 55 dolphins.

A horrible fate, the one we continue to document during the hunting season in Taiji Bay, the so-called bay of death, where the water is increasingly tinged with red, the blood of dolphins and cetaceans. In recent days, we had shown you dolphins tied by the fins and brutally slaughtered. Now from Rick'o Barry's Dolphin Project, who as we know is a former dolphin trainer who today fights for the defense of cetaceans even risking his own life.

“A pod of around 55 striped dolphins met a horrific fate. After being chased for several miles trapped in the shallows of the Bay, the pod panicked. The little one had practically tried to escape after being separated from his mother, but there was nothing to do: he was reached, thrown on board still alive and then killed with a knife like everyone else: females pregnant and male. Most of the specimens are slaughtered on site to use the meat for food, while others are collected and sold to aquariums and marine parks. The hunt lasts six months, during which it is possible to kill and capture up to 1700 specimens.

On the same day, the hunters captured eight oblique-toothed waddlers (Lagenorhynchus obliquidens), another species of dolphin, to sell them to water parks that feed a very lucrative market.
