It happened in the Philippines on Christmas Eve. A man found a newborn thanks to a stray dog who had reported his presence
It was Christmas Eve. We are in Sibonga, south of Cebu, in the Philippines. A stray dog begins to fidget, runs, tries to attract the attention of passers-by, until a man decides to follow the animal. The dog stops near a landfill and there, wrapped in a towel, was a newborn.
The baby had been abandoned with the umbilical cord still tied to the placenta, locked up in a dark plastic bag. A life that began uphill for the little boy, but which in his misfortune was lucky enough to find the dog on his way.
Junrell Fuentes Revilla was riding his motorcycle in the Magkagong Mountains on Christmas Eve when the dog started chasing him barking and trying to get his attention. Hearing that the dog was trying to tell him something, the man stopped and decided to follow him to a grassy area near a landfill.

Upon arriving, he immediately noticed a strange brown bundle, which emitted faint moans. The little boy was taken to the Community Hospital where he received the necessary treatment but he is fine. The local authorities immediately went in search of the mother while the child remained under the protection of the municipal social assistance office.

Police sergeant Venus Tampos who is involved in the protection of women and children of the Sibonga police said the dog is one of 5 strays who frequent the landfill.
It is only thanks to him that the child is alive, and thanks also to the motorcyclist who took the request for help that the dog had tried to send him. Once again it is the animals that save our lives, demonstrating a humanity that we sometimes lack.
