Siberian tiger climbs the fence and kills the keeper and another tiger: yet another confirmation that zoos need to be abolished

Siberian tiger climbs the fence and kills the keeper and another tiger: yet another confirmation that zoos need to be abolished

A Siberian tiger, who has lived in Seaview Predator Park for 15 years, attacked and killed a zookeeper and another tiger.

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Jasper is a Siberian tiger who for 15 years, since she was a puppy, has lived in the bars of Seaview Predator Park, a renowned zoo in South Africa. All this time she has resigned herself to a sad existence in captivity, never rebelling. But a few days ago, what none of the zoo managers would have expected happened: the animal jumped over her enclosure to attack David Solomon, the keeper she had known since her birth. The reported neck fracture was fatal for the man. After killing the man, Jasper attacked another tiger, who died as a result of his injuries.

During the maintenance work Jasper jumped on the external fence and went out - they say from Seaview Predator Park - David was, unfortunately, in the middle between the two tiger enclosures and was heading towards the water taps when the 'accident. David tried to climb over the fence of another box to get to safety, but was attacked by Jasper. We confirm that David obviously had bite marks, but apparently Jasper fractured fractured his neck. Jasper then continued to leap from the outside fence of the stall next door which is home to Siberian tigers Judah and Amber. A fight ensued in which Judah was killed. Being a male, Jasper wanted all the attention of the female Amber.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT OUT OF RESPECT FOR DAVID AND THE STAFF AT THE PARK, THE PARK WILL BE CLOSED TODAY, THURSDAY 17…

David's colleagues are now in shock at what happened and blame all that aggression on the hormones (as if a lifetime spent in a cage wasn't a good enough reason!)

David Solomon had been at Seaview Predator Park for about 15 years and had known every animal since they were puppies. - say the zoo managers - We are all a big family and the loss of David has left each of us broken and traumatized, especially the staff members and volunteers who were present when the accident happened. David's presence, the jokes, the willingness to teach our young volunteers and his personality will be missed very much and we offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and close friends. May his soul rest in peace. We confirm that all large cats are calm inside their boxes. Jasper's accident is the first in the park and he was obviously fueled by hormones. Jasper is now fairly quiet and shares a cage with Amber and there is no plan for Jasper to be culled.

Unfortunately, it is not the first event of its kind to occur in places like zoos. About a month ago we told you about the lioness who attacked her trainer in front of the astonished eyes of the spectators in a Russian circus, but the list would be very long. How many other tragedies will still have to occur to convince us that zoos and circuses are to be permanently closed ?!
