Good news for the JJ4- Gaia bear. Blocked, at least for now, the killing ordered by the President of the Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti.
The appeal of the WWF, LAC, LIPU and LNDC associations was accepted today by the TAR of Trento. But there will be more hearings soon.

The announcement of the Lavand company, echoes the Minister of the Environment Sergio Costa, who formalized the request to the District Attorney of the State to present the appeal to the TAR to cancel the ordinance that provides for the killing.
“Continue our action to save Gaia, the bear threatened by those who see killing as the only way. After having warned the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, yesterday evening we formalized the request to the District Attorney of the State to present the appeal to the TAR to cancel the ordinance that provides for the killing. Killing a bear just for reacting not only does not see me in favor but I consider it an injustice ”, writes the minister.
In recent days Costa had also written a letter to the President of the Autonomous Province to withdraw the order, but now, after his negative response, he was forced to formalize the appeal.
“I am aware that environmental associations have also filed legal actions, I can only thank them, only together can we win this battle in favor of life. Unfortunately, the tools I have at my disposal to save Gaia are not many, but I assure you that everything I can do to keep her from being killed will do it! #IoSonoGaia ”, concludes the minister.

The initiative of the Ministry of the Environment, already announced in recent days, was taken after noting that the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento did not accept the invitation of Minister Costa to withdraw that part of the ordinance which requested the killing of the bear, reports the same ministry.
Minister Costa himself had opposed the capture of M49, now castrated, which he had renamed Papillon.
