Orphaned after the raid against Al Baghdadi, this little dog was adopted by a Syrian photographer

The little dog was crying next to his mom's body when the photojournalist found him and decided to adopt and take care of him

Fared Alhor, a Syrian photojournalist, was documenting the aftermath of the attack that led to the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi when he came across a puppy dog.

The little dog, spared from the firefights, he was crying and howling beside his mother's body, in a scenario of death and destruction, when Alhor found him.

Instinctively the photographer started playing with the puppy and cuddling him to cheer him up and when it was time to leave, failed to abandon the poor little dog left alone.

Alhor initially asked passers-by if anyone could take care of the puppy, then, not finding anyone he decided to take it away with him.
Running home to retrieve some supplies and a cage, he returned to the site of the attack to retrieve the little dog, with the idea of leaving him with a friend whose dog had just had a litter.

But after riding 20 miles in the rain to save the life of the orphaned little dog, a bond had already formed between him and the puppy, and eventually decided to adopt him and take care of him.

Alhor chose to call the little dog Bobe and now, to pay for the necessary care for the animal, he is collecting donations at Santuario di Ernesto, a veterinary facility specializing in stray dogs in Syria.

“I need support to secure food and a new kennel for Bobe. He will have a good life and we will settle down, me and him, ”Alhor said.
