An initiative full of love for the wedding day: an American bride has eliminated the bridesmaids' bouquets to make room for dogs to adopt.
She is Sally Burky and on her wedding day she had a truly exceptional idea: to deliver to the group of her bridesmaids not bouquets of flowers but, one by one, a dog on a leash. The purpose? Raise awareness of the adoption of four-legged dogs in search of a master.
And so five bridesmaids were accompanied by as many tender rescue dogs from the Haven of the Ozarks Animal Sanctuary in Washburn, Missouri, attracting the attention of all present.
A choice motivated by the couple's enormous love for animals, who have always been great supporters of dogs and cats looking for a home and currently owners of a pit bull, a German shepherd and a cat. A beautiful passion that led them to do everything possible even on an apparently unsuitable occasion like their wedding.
“I have made more than one donation to Haven in the last 8 years, I participate in their local adoption events near our home - says the 29-year-old bride. Seeing their sanctuary and the way each of the volunteers treats the animals made me feel so confident that this was one of the best ways to support them. "
Sally's decidedly non-traditional wedding went off without a hitch. Not only did the dogs increase her beauty factor in her wedding photos, they also found the happy ending: four of the five present at the wedding were adopted, just as the bride hoped.
