Monkeys are made up, dressed and forced to perform in shows for tourists, while kept tied to the chain
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himThose who love animals will not be indifferent to the vision of these distressing images that come from Thailand. A group of monkeys were filmed at the Chang Puak tourist facility in Ratchaburi, west of the country, performing for visitors.
The poor monkeys have been made up, forced into sparkling dresses, tied to a chain and forced to perform stunts.
Some animals are forced to jump in a circle, others have to swing a fiery stick, still others are trained to play with an oa ball pretend to sing and play. Beautiful animals, intelligent and sentient, come like this humiliate yourself to entertain tourists.
"Monkeys do not choose to walk on their hind legs, wear clothes, ride a bike or perform other meaningless and humiliating gestures - they have simply learned to fear what will happen if they do not," commented Jason Baker of the animal rights association PETA.
According to the association, the monkeys had their teeth pulled out, to prevent them from defending themselves or reacting aggressively towards trainers or tourists.
Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, where animals too often suffer real life torture to entertain visitors.
Many specimens are captured in the wild, snatching them from their mothers shortly after birth and then forcing them to a life of slavery and very hard training, which cause them enormous suffering.
PETA asked travel companies to boycott structures that organize similar shows.
