Hunters kill a domestic (and harmless) boar baby inside private land

Hercules, a 10-month-old domestic boar, was brutally killed by a group of hunters on private land in France

At the end of 2019, Hercules, a small domesticated boar, had apparently disappeared into thin air from private land in the French department of Seine-et-Marne. Only recently Alain Martin, the man who took care of him and who had welcomed him in his park of about 170 hectares, discovered that theanimal was brutally killed by a hunter. The video, which was posted a couple of days ago on Twitter by journalist Hugo Clément, sparked a wave of indignation among users.

“I saw my puppy being shot dead, blown off the ground, shot at close range. It is as if they had inflicted a knife on me " says forester Alain Martin, with tears in his eyes.

In the video we see the 10-month-old wild boar approaching men, in a totally harmless way, almost in search of cuddles and affection, just as he used to do with Mr. Alain, with whom he had a very special relationship.

"Acts of cruelty and barbarism ... these people should no longer hunt" Alain Martin says with a bitter taste in his mouth, who is now hoping for an exemplary sentence for the hunters who shot his beloved Hercules within his grounds.

Bérangère Abba, secretary of state in charge of biodiversity, has ordered the opening of an investigation, under the supervision of his ministry, to shed light on the sad death of Hercules.

We hope that the hunters who have made this ignoble deed will be punished as soon as possible.
