In the Philippines, a man who wanted to take a selfie with a crocodile he thought was a fake approached the animal in a small pond but this one, a real specimen over 3 meters long, attacked it.

A video that has gone viral in recent days shows Nehemias Chipada, 68, who is attacked by a 3-meter-high crocodile in a park in the Philippines. Local sources report that the man had mistaken the crocodile for a statue and therefore had approached unaware of the risks.

There, however, he found himself in front of a real crocodile who, annoyed, attacked him.

Fortunately, he managed to free himself from the jaws of the animal that was trying to drag him to the bottom of the pond and that still injured him quite seriously in the arm and legs. After being seen by doctors, the man was diagnosed with several fractured bones and eight wounds to be sutured between his left arm and thigh.

Below is the video (do not watch it if you are particularly sensitive).

The Amaya View park in Cagayan de Oro in the Philippines where the incident took place specified that the area where the man was attacked is not accessible to the public and that the presence of dangerous animals is always reported in the paths.

This time the man went well and we hope he learned that the signs must always be read carefully; that taking a selfie in some cases may not be a good idea and above all to stay away from wild animals.
