This is what the ordinance signed a few days ago by the Mayor Maurizio Rasero, concerning the removal of dog waste and the washing of public land, provides. Similar measures have already been adopted in Savona, Chiavari and Genoa.
"This measure was adopted because the failure to remove animal waste and the relative cleaning of public land, in particular on pavements intended for pedestrians, in flower beds and in places intended for recreation and entertainment for citizens, as well as constituting an act of rudeness and incivility, can involve risks for the health of the population, especially for the most exposed groups ”, reads the Municipality website.
Who owns a dog, in fact, is not only responsible for his well-being, but also for his behavior and, therefore, whoever takes his dog for a walk must avoid that the public land is soiled by having suitable equipment, to be shown on request. to Municipal Police officers: shovel and bag for the collection of manure e water for washing urine, thus preserving the hygiene and decorum of the places.
