A pair of peregrine falcons she returned to her old nest on the Pirellone to give birth to two chicks (there is still a third egg that could hatch). Everything was taken from a webcam installed to film the sweet little family.

They are called Giò & Giulia two falcons already known for having nested and given birth to their puppies on the Pirellone, the skyscraper in Milan. In fact, the two birds have chosen this high-altitude house (125 meters) above Piazza Duca D'Aosta for several years.

The nest was discovered by accident in 2014 when a group of workers were doing maintenance on the building's attic. Since then, the pair of peregrine falcons have not had much privacy, in fact, already in recent years, a webcam has been installed by the Lombardy Region to "capture" the couple's most beautiful and sweet moments and above all to witness the birth of the chicks.

Since then, many people have become passionate about the history of Giò & Giulia and their little ones and they follow them year after year through a Facebook page dedicated to them. In 2018 the pair had laid 3 eggs but only 2 falcons had actually managed to survive. Also this year the miracle of life was repeated.

Falchi sul Pirellone, Giò and Giulia's chicks were born

At the beginning of March, precisely on the 6th, a new egg appeared in the nest of the two birds of prey and to follow, a few days later, the eggs reached 3. Today at dawn the first two apologized and we wait now anxiously the birth of the last chick which we hope this time will be healthy and strong and have a long life.

You can watch the birth of one of the babies in the following video:

The people who monitor the two hawks via webcam are a bit worried about the bad weather but the experts are convinced that Giò & Giulia will do it as they are a well-established and experienced couple. In fact, the mother has taken on the task of drying the babies and warming them with great care.

We wish the new falcons good life!
