Reduction of the Tari for those who adopt a stray dog in Caltanissetta. The municipal council, on the proposal of the councilor Boris Pastorello, approved the resolution amending the IUC Regulation.
In this way the annual reduction of 250,00 euros on the total amount of the TARI in favor of residents in the Nisseno capital who will adopt a stray dog from the municipal kennel. For the new owners, the tax contribution will be paid for three years.
First, however, the Resolution approved by the Ruvolo junta will have to pass the scrutiny of the City Council. This is an initiative which, together with other measures, takes into account a clear political direction of the Administration: the aim is to tackle the problem of strays, on the one hand, and also provide citizens with a new tool to benefit from tax reductions.
A commendable propsota that follows that of Solarino and Pachino, two small towns in Syracuse where those who adopt a stray don't pay the Tares. Of course, not without some perplexity. What if someone thought of getting a dog just to avoid paying taxes? It would be enough to do the due pre and post foster checks to avert this danger.
The advantages, as mentioned, would be quadruple: animals are helped, we fight against stray dogs, support families and also save the institution, which spends many thousands of euros every year for each animal housed in the muninicipale kennel. Not bad, what do you think?
