Perhaps that was why he had been abandoned. But now, thanks to an innovative gadget from America, Basil looks like an angel with wings flying towards a new life. And his rescuers hope they will be able, now, to find a family who will adopt and love him forever.

Perhaps that was why it had been abandoned. But now, thanks to an innovative gadget from America, Basil looks like an angel with wings flying to a new life. And his rescuers hope they will be able, now, to find a family who will adopt and love him forever.
The merit is of the association West Yorkshire Dog Rescue, who recovered it, but also of Sylvie Bordeaux, who invented the structure in the shape of wings, called "Muffin's-halo" and now sold by Pet Business. Muffin, in fact, is the name of his toy poodle, who at the age of 12 lost his sight due to cataracts. His human mom then developed wings to help him feel safe and to make sure he couldn't hurt himself by bumping into objects.
The wings, a bit like the trolleys for disabled dogs, are a product custom designed with a loop that goes around the dog's head and protects it from walls and other objects, like some kind of small personal alarm system. Lightweight and comfortable, it adapts to any dog thanks to a velcro harness. The wings, on the other hand, protect the neck and shoulder area.
This device does not bother during daily activities, and makes the furry ones who wear it look like cute little angels. Basil demonstrates this very well, and is now finally able to run freely, without causing injuries and bruises. The wings, in fact, taught him to get away from danger.
