The video that shows the incredible adventure (fortunately ended well) of an alligator trainer, to which an animal was about to tear an entire arm, goes viral.

Fear in a zoo in Utah, United States. Lindsay Bull, an experienced reptile trainer, had entered an alligator's cage to feed it when the reptile turned on her, biting her hand. The scene, which seems to have been taken from a horror film, takes place under the terrified gaze of some children who had chosen a trip to the zoo as a way to celebrate a birthday.

The young trainer tries to free herself from the grip of the animal's jaws, but without success: although it is a very young specimen, it is still endowed with good strength and sharp teeth, and continues to clench the woman's hand in the jaws and part of the arm.

Providential intervention by one of the accompanying children, who threw himself into the cage and first tried to open the animal's mouth with his bare hands and then, on the advice of the same victim, rushed behind the alligator pulling him for the tail up to free the arm of the woman who - despite the fright - managed to keep calm and lucidity.

The consequences for the trainer were quite serious: immediately transported to the hospital, she had to undergo a hand reconstruction surgery. Once recovered from the accident, the young woman wanted to entrust to a post on Facebook her gratitude for those who saved her and for everyone who cared about her health:

I was lucky enough to come across a hospital that houses the state of Utah's best orthopedic surgeon, who has found a solution that will allow me to go back to using my hand as before. I can't express my admiration for this man enough. I also thank the medical staff of the Infectious Diseases Department for the antibiotic treatment they are giving me, and all the nurses who made me feel safe, like I was at home. Many thanks to all!

Zoo staff also join Lindsay Bull's thanks for those who went out of their way to save her:

We want to send a huge shoutout to Donnie Wiseman and Todd & Amy Christopher! We want to thank them for their heroism….
