Unfortunately, the conservation status of the rhinoceros is not rosy given that it is one of the animals most threatened by man who hunts him mainly for his horn. In total in the world today there are five species of rhinoceros, two of which are present in Africa and three in Asia.

The living specimens of rhinos in the world are about 28 thousand, a number from which unfortunately really negative forecasts are born, so much so that in just 30 years the rhinos may no longer be present on our planet.

In 2015 alone they are well 1338 rhinos disappeared in Africa and Asia at the hands of poachers. These are the data reported by the IUCN, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. In the last 9 years, almost 6000 rhinos have been killed by hunters.

Not to mention the problems related to the smuggling and black market of rhino horns that enrich the underworld.

Unfortunately, rhinos are already part of the IUCN Red List, the list of animals at high risk of extinctionAnd. Rhino hunting threatens to extinguish it forever if we don't act now.
