He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

After years of pressure and complaints from animal welfare organizations, a wonderful news has arrived: the Phuket Zoo of Thailand, described by activists as "Hell on earth for animals", is about to close its doors. Definitely. It took the pandemic to put an end to the horror. The collapse of the visitors, in fact, gave the final blow to the structure that is no longer able to go on due to economic problems. Several wild specimens were held captive in the zoo, including tigers, bears and elephants, subjected to unspeakable torture.

Already in 2011 the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) had denounced what was happening in that concentration camp, launching an online petition to ask to improve the conditions of the animals present in the structure and inviting users to leave negative reviews on TripAdvisor. Thanks to their mobilization, several tourist agencies had decided to remove the zoo from their itineraries, but the zoo continued with the wild exploitation.

But now, finally, the nightmare is over.

Great news for animals! ? The notorious Phuket Zoo is SHUTTING DOWN!Bears, elephants, and tigers will soon be retired to true sanctuaries, where they’ll get the care they always deserved.

A real lager for animals

Eye-opening at the atrocities at the Phuket Zoo were videos released in 2019 by the Moving Animals organization, showing facility operators beating elephants with metal poles and forcing them to perform for visitors. Shortly after the videos were published, one of the elephants was seriously injured and died a few days later.

What was done to the tigers was no less: in addition to being tortured, they were often also drugged to tame them more easily. In the videos published by Moving Animals, a tiger is seen walking on a small platform all day, with a heavy chain tied around its neck. A terrible violence not only physical, but also psychological.

Animals ready for a new life, but they need our help

But what about the animals that were prisoners at the Phuket Zoo now? They will finally experience freedom.

Several elephants, eleven tigers and two bears will be transferred to various animal sanctuaries where they will undergo rehabilitation. The Wildlife Friends Foundation is working on these specimens, explaining that tigers and bears need to be returned to the wild as a matter of urgency.

Unfortunately, however, financial resources are required for the transport of these large animals, which the organization does not currently have. For this reason the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is relying on donations from animal supporters and lovers.
