Victory!!! Stop the mink farms in Hungary, along with foxes and otters

Hungary bans mink farms in a preventive manner. There will never be foxes and otters again either

Due to the Covid mutated in mink, which is alarming the countries of half the world, Hungary has decided to prevent mink farms in a preventive manner throughout the national territory. There will never be foxes and otters again either. Announcing the novelty, contained in a decree signed on November 24, is the Hungarian Anti-Fur League on Facebook.

The fear, in fact, is that now that this type of farming begins to be banned in other countries, farmers may choose Hungary as a new location for their dirty activities, which bring so much suffering, cruelty and health risk, as shown by what is now called "minkgate", that is the Covid alarm changed in the mink of farms all over the world ..

“At the Ministry of Agriculture, this year we were able to negotiate for the first time with Péter Ovádi, who is in charge of the national program for the protection of animals as ministerial commissioner. We have informed him that the keeping of carnivores carries an enormous number of risks for the protection of animals and for epidemiology in fur farms. Although there are still no fox and mink breeders in Hungary, due to bans in surrounding countries, there is a high probability that Danish, Polish and Dutch fur farmers will move to Hungarian territory, as permitted by our laws. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture, taking into account our recommendation with the help of the Ministerial Commissioner Péter Óvádi, removed fox and mink farming from the law.
As a far-sighted gesture, he also banned the breeding of fur otters, even though they were herbivores ".

Until now, the following fur animals could be bred in the country:

    • long-tailed chinchilla (Chinchilla lanigera),
    • angora coniglio (Oryctolagus cuniculus var. domesticus),
    • nutria (Myocastor coypus),
    • ferret (Mustela putorius),
    • American mink (Mustela vison),
    • volpe d'argento
    • polar fox (Alopex lagopus).

Foxes, minks, and nutria have now been removed from this list. The others remain on the farms, unfortunately. A half victory, therefore. The next step, therefore, is to ban all existing fur farms.

In Hungary, the long - tailed chinchilla (Chinchilla lanigera) and the angora rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus var.
