The LAV has received many reports from citizens who recently visited Parco Gallorose di Cecina (Livorno), a zoological garden and farm that hosts about 180 animals, belonging to wild and domestic species.
Here, according to the reports, the animals, many of them locked in cages, are in an alleged situation of neglect. For this the association asked the Carabinieri of Cecina to verify what happens in the Park.
Many have reported to us the presence of animals that for some time have apparently been abandoned to themselves, without even respecting their most basic rights (at least according to the material that was sent to us via social networks). For this reason we have sent a report directly to the Carabinieri of Cecina, to request that they intervene as quickly as possible and clarify exactly what the situation is, which is the subject of the many reports that have come to us and which describe animals in an alleged state of neglect, probably kept in spaces. unsuitable, without water and in probable state of malnutrition.
Unfortunately, according to the LAV, it is not a new situation but already 6 years ago some visitors noticed the precarious conditions in which the animals lived.
