Yet, they, the furry ones, continue to die, victims of an inhuman and merciless hunt.

Because the Europeans are over, the scandal of strays killed in the most barbaric ways in the country of Eastern Europe it is no longer news. Yet, they, the hairy ones, continue to die, victims of a inhuman and merciless hunting.
Unfortunately, in fact, there was not no end-of-game whistles for dog hunters, who have never stopped operating. Indeed, just when the spotlight went down they became, if possible, even more brazen and gory. “They go out on the street they see a herd, they photograph it and then they make a map to put on their website and then… they kill !!! Because the Ukrainian government continues to ignore them even though it is aware of their existence for about 3 years? “, this is the desperate cry of Andrea Cisternino, who for days, weeks, months, has been denouncing the atrocities that are staged every day in Ukraine.
Dogs are still shot in real hunts, poisoned, drugged or buried alive. All in complete sunlight, under the eyes of the authorities who insist on not intervening. Thus, the dog hunters they continue their dog hunt undisturbed, bragging about internet of their feats, threatening animal rights activists and spying on the pages of volunteers who take care of strays to find them more easily. "Near the Billa supermarket, minus 5 strays, one did not want to eat, otherwise they would have been 6. A dead stray is still near the bus stop to cheer up the animal rights activists", write the dog hunters.
Cisternino and the Ukrainian volunteers rush to help the stray, resume the veterinary visit and publish the video on youtube, with strong images that, frame after frame, freeze the veins. We ourselves did not manage to see it until the end. Other dogs died in Kharkov, where they are captured to end up vivisected, 20 strays died in the Kiev hydropark, an entire litter was burned alive in a park. It is about a war bulletin. But now only Cisternino is left to fight.
Of course, now we need to think about the Green Hill dogs. The Ukrainian strays are left with gossip: "just gossip - Cisternino reports to Geapress - lots of gossip, but the animals are not saved by chatter". It is not known, for example, which projects have been launched with the announced fundraising. No news on the actions they had promised to undertake on May 5, in the Roman demonstration, the large animal welfare associations, who had pledged to counter the massacres. "Since 2009 the killing machine has never stopped - adds Cisternino - the media have turned their backs".
"It seems that now only the Green Hill dogs exist, we are back as before Euro 2012", says Cisternino embittered. But what will happen to the Montichiari beagles when the morbid attention of the media and society ceases? Will they end up in oblivion? Likely. Like the Harlan monkeys, still locked in cages, at least until the law on the matter is changed. No liberation for them. Like Ukrainian dogs, which fall like dry leaves under the blows of hunters. No mercy for them.
