Two practically drunk hedgehogs found in a park in Germany. This also happens if you do not take care to throw the waste in the appropriate containers! The innocent little animals found an abandoned bottle of an egg-based alcoholic liqueur and ended up in an ethyl coma.
It happened in Erfurt, in Thuringia and, thanks to the last minute police intervention that took them to the Thuringer Zoopark, the two little hedgehogs are now safe.
The two beasts had been found helpless near a bottle of a liquor egg-based, Eierlikoer, so it was immediately suspected that they had drunk its contents, part of which was found on the ground, thus remaining intoxicated.
And so it was, unfortunately. Both placed in intensive care, they still have a way to go to get back on their feet: as we read from local newspapers, it seems that one hedgehog will soon be discharged, while the other - still in a coma - will be subjected to further anabolic infusions.
Meanwhile, the local police station has issued a statement to raise awareness among citizens of greater respect for nature, including with regard to the protection of animals.
Too many specimens, most recently the case of the European eels stuffed with cocaine, are paying dearly and bitterly for our total lack of interest in the other inhabitants of the earth. An account that sooner or later we too will have to pay in full.
