In Kenya, near Nairobi, there is a natural reserve that welcomes orphaned elephants and rhinos due to poaching, providing them with veterinary care and taking care of their rehabilitation.

This is the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an organization created in 1977 with the aim of conserving and preserving local wildlife and fighting poaching activities that threaten the African ecosystem. Recently Joseph is taking care of Lemeki and Thamana, two baby elephants, one of which in the photo, just arrived at the center and immediately established a bond with them, even if it was not easy.

Joseph is also a source of inspiration for all the other rangers as well as an example of how a good keeper can not only supervise orphaned animals, but assist them in the rehabilitation process in the green and this is the greatest satisfaction.
