This little chameleon did not realize it was born and remained curled up in its shell, as if it were still in the egg
A small panther chameleon, the size of a coin, did not realize it was born and remained curled up in the shell of the egg that had hatched.

“You usually can't get the exact moment they come out of their shells,” explained Nick Henn, of Reading, Pennsylvania, who took the tender shot.
And even the experts cannot explain why the little chameleon did not realize that he came into the world and that it was time to wake up.
These extraordinary animals stay inside their shells for about eight months and when it comes time to get out they break it using their jaw to cut through the egg's inner membrane. The operation can take up to an entire day.
Panther chameleons generally have a lot of strength. This little one, however, does not seem to have noticed anything.
Maybe he just needed a little help and be encouraged to get out of that reassuring and warm environment of his egg!
