Poor dog died from severe injuries and it is unclear who will take care of her six newborn puppies
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himAlma, the poor one little dog brutally beaten and wounded by its owner, it bequeathed you are adorable puppies.
At the end of November, a hunter from Chantada, Galicia, shot Alma, beat her and then dragged her several meters through the puddles. The absurd gesture, taken by a passerby, unfortunately cost the life of Alma, who died last Tuesday in a veterinary hospital, due to the severity of the injuries suffered.
His cubs, four females and two males, have survived and are now at El Rifugio. For the moment I am in good health but since they are only a few days old, it is not easy to manage them without the care of their mother.
The animal rights association Mundo Vivo, which had made public the video of Alma's terrible attack, also shared the pictures of the little dogs.
The Xunta de Galicia and the Environment deny us custody of the puppies, when this morning the chief of police requested data from the NGO to deliver them to us. Suddenly Environment says that they will take over. Now right? After the repercussion that it is having, that countries in Europe and the rest of the world have published it in the newspapers, that small NGOs like ours and so many more have denounced and condemned this brutal mistreatment... The hunter responsible for Alma's death was forced to admit his guilt in front of the video evidence provided by the association and will have to answer for the accusations of animal abuse.
As regards the six puppies, at time nIt is not clear what their fate will be: the Xunta de Galicia denied custody to the Mundo vivo association which looked after them and Alma and no one knows where they will end up and who will take care of it.
Good news!!! Tomorrow we are going to pick up the puppies. We have also asked for the guardianship of the mother when she is fully recovered. Now she herself is still hospitalized, sedated, and although she is in serious condition, she does not fear for her life. It will be seen if it can be reconstructed or if it has to be amputated... she is with the best professionals in Lugo and everything possible will be done for her.
