Last year, he shot and killed a giraffe in South Africa. In her days, the huntress, originally from Kentucky, in memory of her cruel deeds published her photo on her Facebook profile. And the world of social media did not stand by and watch. Within hours, the photos went viral and thousands of insulting comments arrived.

Posing with the animal's body, Tess Thompson Talley, 37, had initially uploaded photos taken after a hunting trip a year ago in June 2017. Her post has been deleted, but the photos have been extensively shared online.

The newspaper Africlandpost she shared the photos on June 16, in a tweet that went viral, in which the woman was accused of killing "a very rare black giraffe courtesy of South African stupidity." The tweet was shared over 45.000 times.

Still, there's no indication that Talley's hunt was illegal. The woman even said killing the giraffe contributed to conservation efforts.

“The giraffe I hunted was the South African subspecies of the giraffe. The number of this subspecies is actually increasing due, in part, to hunters and conservation efforts paid in large part by big game " she defended herself.

It emerged that the killed giraffe was not rare but the fact remains that killing it and bragging about it was a cruel gesture.

Talley posted additional comments on his Facebook page, some to cringe, claiming that animals, as such, have no rights.

Unfortunately, until hunting is made illegal, hunters will be able to act undisturbed and share their exploits on social networks.
