An emaciated elephant, forced to bang his head to rave music, to "play" musical instruments and perform acrobatics under the threat of painful punishment. This is what happens in a Thai zoo. A story that is hard to tell that of this puppy, as unfortunate as Dumbo, locked up in a zoo in Phuket.

The small, literally skin and bones, in common with the more famous Dumbo unfortunately has a lot. It is in fact used as a real tourist attraction but while the Disney animal flew with big ears, the real one must "Dance" by banging your head to the rhythm of techno music three times a day and in the meantime he must also play and perform "stunts". His story is also reminiscent of that of real Dumbo, who lived in the 800th century.

Unfortunately, if on the one hand there are those who profit on their skin, on the other there are also pseudo-tourists who have fun and laugh while watching the sad sight of the emaciated elephant.

Inside an arena, elephants are forced to stand in line, one hits a plate with a wand and the cub "Plays" the harmonica.

Investigators from the Moving Animals group described the scenes as "heartbreaking, shocking and alarming" with animals living in fear of painful punishment.

"The tourists' money pays to keep this young elephant in captivity, and he will spend the rest of his life forced to perform day after day," said Amy Jones of Moving Animals who asked the Indian Prime Minister in London for help to prevent them. elephants in captivity are tortured. "The shocking photos also show his skeletal body, raising concerns about possible malnutrition and exhaustion."

Adults are seen swinging in anguish in other footage; one - who still looks young is forced to kick a ball into a net. Sometimes they are also scraped with hooks during performances.

“We saw tourists laughing and taking selfies, while the little elephant stood with his eyes closed,” he continues.

Moving Animals has launched a petition to ask for the liberation of the child and the transfer to an ethical sanctuary. No elephant should live in such harrowing conditions. And "Dumbo" deserves to spend the rest of his life in a place where he can feel happiness and peace.
