We ask that public funds not be used for bullfighting which is widely rejected by the company, ”explains Marta Esteban Miñano, international director of Animal Guardians.
The campaign had started during the lockdown, when while the hospitals were saturated, the bullfighting called for help. The two animal associations had written a letter, supported by over 900 organizations, asking the government not to give public money to bullfighting.

The bullfight took place in front of a thousand people, half of the authorized capacity. The square has 8600 locations, it has been allowed to accommodate only 25% of the total capacity, ie just over 2000. Perhaps, finally there is no longer any desire to see the suffering and unjustified death of a poor animal.
