We are in an Alaskan state park. Here the mother bear tried her hand at a swim with… trailer. The video taken by David Roseman, who works at Wood Tikchick State Park in western Alaska, shows, from a safe distance, the bear using its strong paws to swim nimbly in the water.
Nothing strange so far. It is known that the bears we have great swimming skills. What intrigued Roseman was the fact that the mother bear was acting as a raft for her little ones, only a few months old. The two puppies were clinging to the fur, sitting on top of their mother's back as she carried them to the shore.
The bear had departed from a small island located in the center of lake Aleknagik, in the heart of the park and walked a distance, to the shore, equal to about 360 meters.

He is the strong one bond between mother and cub to have pushed the little ones to remain attached to their mother, instinctively. As the mother bear entered the water, the two cubs immediately understood what to do and confidently clung to her. Upon reaching the shore, the bear put the two passengers down.
In accordance to reported from the park site, Wood Tikchick is the largest and most remote in the nation, spanning nearly 650 acres. Roseman has worked in the park for 21 years, but had never seen such a beautiful sight.
Despite their large heavy bodies and thick fur, brown bears are great swimmers.

The bear cubs are around six months old and will likely start swimming on their own once they reach 30 pounds.
