'But seeing an animal in this state, isn't it enough?' The organization is still wondering.
Jean-Marc Vanberg, director of Mont Mosan defended himself by saying: “This is madness! The last few days have been awful. People have no limits. I received messages of insults, death threats. We have been offering this entertainment for years and no one has complained. Sea lions are not related. They pull the boat with a rope that they take in their mouths. This is how we taught them to do ”.
This is not the first time this zoo has been accused of animal abuse. In 2018, Jean-Michel Stasse, president of the ASBL Wolf Eyes, had filed a complaint against Mont Mosan for sea lions and seals that would have gone blind due to too much chlorine and even then, the director had denied.
