Uncle Fatty was Thailand's most famous monkey, a real web star whose fame unfortunately depended onobesity. The animal, who lived free in the Bang Khun Thian district, and loved to feed on junk food offered by tourists, is fled after being subjected to a stiff diet based on proteins, fruits and vegetables.

It has now been 4 months since he disappeared and it is feared that he is dead. It weighed twice its normal weight of the specimens of his species, or 26 kg against 9 in the norm, and so he would not have resisted for long, risking both heart problems and diabetics.

Unfortunately, the consumption of fast food residues and fizzy drinks had caused the growth of a fat mass right on the stomach, similar to a benign tumor. Before putting him on a diet, it was not easy to catch him because Uncle Fatty was the leader of the pack, and his companions protected him in every way, even providing him with food.

Today, despite the fact that 4 months have passed since his disappearance and the locals themselves have looked for him a little everywhere, searching in particular the areas he was used to frequenting, Uncle Fatty has never been seen again and it is feared that he has retreated to the forest, as many monkeys do before they die, preferring to isolate themselves from everything and everyone.

Among other things, Uncle Fatty was an elderly monkey and therefore the possibility that he died of old age is not excluded. In the meantime, research continues.
