After having proposed and approved them by Parliament, the Government is changing 10 points out of 13 of the famous article 13, which provides, among other things, the prohibition of farms such as Green Hill, the stop to animal experiments without anesthesia, concrete incentives for replacement methods.

This was denounced by Enpa, LAV, Lega del Cane, Leidaa, Oipa, with the Federation of Animal Rights and Environment Associations, launching the campaign "The cards on the table don't change", to ask the Lorenzin Health Ministers and of European Affairs Moavero di do not distort or undermine the "restrict - vivisection" norm.

WHAT WILL (NOT) CHANGE - If the government continues to pursue this line, in fact, they will no longer be respected stop to didactic exercises with animals and the ban on experiments without anesthesia. In addition, 84% of the fund for alternative methods would be allocated to those who use vivisection, while the ban on animal tests for xenotransplantation, alcohol, tobacco and drugs would be postponed by four years. All with non-dissuasive sanctions also for respected prohibitions, such asbreeding of dogs, cats and non-human primates for laboratories, the use of stray animals and animals from kennels and experiments for war purposes.

WHAT TO DO - Of course, for those who set the goal of definitively stopping animal tests, useless and never scientifically validated, this is not a point of arrival, but at most a starting point from which to intensify and strengthen our battle against any kind of animal experiment. The invitation of the associations, then, is that of write to the Ministers of Health Lorenzin and of European Affairs Moavero, to the President of the Council Letta, to the deputies and to the senators of the parliamentary commissions who can express their opinions (Health, European Policies, Constitutional Affairs).
