The desperate cry of the dolphin abandoned for the coronavirus and prisoner of the aquarium

Videos of the dolphin Kasya crying desperately because he is left alone in a Tehran dolphinarium are going around the web

In the tub she is the only one left, crying desperately. She is Kasya, a 5-year-old female dolphin living in Iran, captive inside the Milad Tower Delphinarium in Tehran.

Five years ago Kasya was captured in her natural environment, the Baltic Sea. She is a guest, so to speak, of the Iranian Dolphinarium, until January she lived with Alpha, another dolphin. For years, the two have performed daily for thousands of spectators. But in January, Tehran's Environmental Protection Office, during a visit to the Milad Tower Delphinarium, found Alfa dead.

The French association YouCare told the story. Since the disappearance of her friend, Kasya has remained motionless, isolated and has lost her usual cheerfulness. Two videos even show the heartfelt lament of the poor animal, locked up in the dolphinarium in complete solitude.

The stands are empty, we would say fortunately, were it not that the cause is the coronavirus but this does not change the fate of the dolphin. For this the association has launched a petition on Change so that Kasya is released as soon as possible and can return to her natural environment.

“The Delphinarium has already been questioned about this situation. The facility is said to be ready to free the dolphin and return it to Russia, but unfortunately all borders are closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, the Russian embassy indicates that it remains unable to carry out any evacuation actions, as it would be awaiting a response from the owner of the animal. This situation must be resolved as soon as possible for the dolphin's welfare and survival. With this petition we hope to put pressure on the Russian government, the Iranian government and the owner of the dolphinarium to find a solution as soon as possible! " says YouCare.

At the moment, therefore, no progress has been made and the result is the suffering of the dolphin, as shown in the following videos:

“This dolphin is locked up and abandoned in a dolphinarium in Iran. In the video you can hear him screaming in despair, ”YouCare continues.
