The shots of a young Australian photographer who shoot two embraced penguins looking at the landscape are going around the world

A wildlife photographer managed to immortalize a pair of penguins in two more unique than rare photos. The animals, embraced in the tranquility of a late spring evening, enjoy the skyline of Melbourne in Australia together.

Just like a couple of sweethearts would do (but in reality they are not), the two penguins immortalized in the photograph by Tobias Baumgaertner, shared on social media and gone viral, they exchange a moment of tenderness. Embraced, the two animals look at the horizon together.

The shots actually date back to 2019, when the photographer shot the two animals in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda, but they have only gone viral now, after being shared on Instagram by Tobias himself.

When he decided to publish them on his page, the young photographer explained that the two penguins had lost their respective partners and were comforting each other looking together at the twinkling lights of the Melbourne skyline.

The already suggestive photo in itself was accompanied by Tobias with these words:

"In times like these, the luckiest are those who can be with the person / people they love most"

The photographer then explained in his post other details about the two penguins:

“These two penguins perched on a rock overlooking the Melbourne skyline stood there for hours, fin to fin, watching the twinkling lights of the skyline and ocean. A volunteer came up and told me that the white one was an elderly specimen that had lost its mate and apparently the same had happened to the younger male on the left. Since then they meet regularly comforting each other and stand for hours watching the dancing lights of the neighboring city ”.

It took 3 full nights of looking at them, says Tobias, to get these perfect shots.

The two photos, bounced from Instagram to Twitter, are going around the world.
