    The Pamplona festival takes place in July and lasts nine days and is undoubtedly one of the best known events in all of Spain, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The celebrations have been scheduled since 6 to 14 July. Already on social networks and websites, advertisements for the event are multiplying, described as synonymous with pure fun and adrenaline (while in reality it is only cruel, obsolete and dangerous):

    The crazy party will begin with the launch of the “chupinazo” launch from the balcony of the town hall and from the following day the streets will be invaded by hundreds of people chased by bulls along a path of about 850 meters.

    The bloody race, which punctually causes injuries and in some cases even deaths, will continue every day until 14 July. In the same period bullfights will also take place in the famous arena, which - as announced by the local authorities - will be the heart of the celebrations.

    "It is not the most favorable economic situation to face the centenary, with two years in a row without the Feast of San Firmino, but we will resist and continue to work to be able to celebrate it as it deserves" announced the president of the Bullfighting Commission, José María Marco , during a press conference on the event.

    The resumption of the crazy and bloody tradition (which animal rights activists and others have long been asking to be abolished) makes both us and the bulls regret the times of the lockdown and strict restrictions ...
