The surprising friendship between a Golden Retriever and a dolphin named Delta: photos posted on Twitter go viral.
Animals never cease to amaze us, especially in terms of friendship and displays of affection. There are so many incredible stories of bonds born between different species, for example between dogs and cats, which usually don't get along very well with each other. But have you ever seen a dog and a dolphin who are close friends?
It was sympathy at first sight that between Gunner and Delta 10 years ago when they first met. And today, after a decade, they recognized and gave a "sweet kiss"

A few days ago a Canadian boy named Ken posted on Twitter a very sweet photo that he portrays Gunner, a Golden Retriever, lovingly licks a dolphin. In less than a week, the shot got over a million likes and was re-shared by thousands of users. “Sorry for the interruption, important news,” Ken writes wryly in the caption.

But the friendship between this beautiful dog and the Delta dolphin was not born recently, on the contrary. Apparently the two have known each other for several years. To explain it is Emily Pacenta, who works in contact with the dolphins that live in the tropical paradise of Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
In response to Ken's tweet, the girl posted two photos for comparison: one from when Gunner was still a puppy (he was only 8 weeks old!) And Delta was 4 years old; the other a few days ago. Now the dog is 7 years old and the dolphin 10, but their amazing friendship continues to go on.

This singular friendship confirms that diversity should not be perceived as a limitation, but considered a precious resource. And in many cases, animals seem to have understood this much better than we humans!
