New plots of land to cultivate assigned to young people from Lazio region. Really good news for those who want to approach agriculture. This is an important and positive sign.

The President Zingaretti has decided to make available 200 hectares of land that will be destined for five projects curated by young people in the area. The new land adds to the 140 hectares already made available previously.

The Lazio model is having success. It is based onland allocation to young farmers to activate a virtuous circuit to guard the land itself, defending them from soil consumption, pollution and speculation.

The Lazio Region proves to believe in young people and their creativity entrusting them with natural public goods. Young people are able to follow the major innovations in agriculture and human nutrition, they are a hope for the future.

The goal is to increase the percentage of young agricultural enterprises in our country, which only reach 5% compared to 8% in Europe. The Lazio Region is committed to bridging this gap, starting precisely with investment in young people, which is considered strategic. An increasing number of them are enrolled in agricultural faculties or agricultural technical institutes. They will thus learn to work the land with intelligence.

Terre ai Giovani is a project aimed at young entrepreneurs from Lazio that at the moment provides for the rental of 8 plots of land for a total of 343 hectares. From here we start to revolutionize urban agriculture, hoping that other cities and regions can also take an example from this initiative.

The first two lots were assigned in September and today it was the turn of the other five. The Quarto degli eurali estate (municipality of Roma Capitale) was assigned to the brothers Alessandro and Elena Sofia Porra (born in 1993 and 1995).

To Federica Lamoratta (born in 1978) has been assigned the lot of Montalto di Castro for organic cultivation and sale, while four young people aged between 20 and 23, all with a technical agricultural diploma, were assigned the land of Tarquinia where they could carry out an 'experimental' cultivation of saffron .

Would you like it if your region also gave space to a project of this kind?
