    Eating dog meat is considered a tradition in many countries in Asia, but South Korea is the only country where dogs are bred commercially to become meat for sale.

    Dog farms here would be very similar to any other type of farm. Unfortunately dogs live in very bad conditions, between filth and abuse by human beings. Dogs live prisoners in cages in an unbearable situation. Many organizations are working to say stop to dog farms and the sale of dog meat. Something is already changing.

    Recently the Moran Market, the largest dog meat sales center in South Korea, has officially closed its doors. About 80 dogs were sold here every year. As reported by In Defense of Animals, the official closure took place on 13 December 2016.
